In fact, while we were shooting it we had to start over because I could not stop laughing! The potato chip scene was really hard not to laugh at when we were filming it. Was it hard not to laugh during the scene when your “mom” was eating potato chips in her closet? I did not know how to Double Dutch at first but they got me a coach so that I could learn to do it in front of the camera, so I didn’t have any doubles. ![]() I’ve learned that prayer is extremely important and that God listens to our prayers, no matter what is going on.ĭid you know how to Double Dutch before the movie? Or did a “double” do those scenes for you? One of the hardest parts was having to do the same scenes over and over but it payed off because they turned out to be really good scenes! What have you learned about prayer after being in War Room? One of my favorite parts was being able to meet all the different people on set. My daughter wants to know what it was like to be in a movie? What was one of your favorite parts? What was one of the hardest parts?īeing given the opportunity to act in a movie was probably one of the best experiences in my life. I’ve never acted before, not even a church play, so War Room was my first movie. I also love reading, writing and playing outside. I love them so much and they have had a great impact on my life. There is a delightful young actress, Alena Pitts, who plays Priscilla’s daughter, Danielle, in War Room. I hope you go see it and then come back here and leave your comments about what you thought. Priscilla Shirer and Karen Abercrombie both give particularly compelling performances. War Room is a battle cry to rally believers to pray often and fervently-beginning in our own homes. We need to wake up, take a stand and stop wasting time. We have been weakened by busyness, distracted by shiny things and underwhelmed by the God of the Universe. Too often we neglect one of our strongest weapons for battle. I was spurred on to pray more often, more diligently and with greater urgency. I walked away from this movie feeling stirred up-awakened to the spiritual battle all around. This family has a long road before them, but they are equipped for what’s ahead-if only they’ll wield the tool they’ve been given. A feisty prayer warrior crosses their path and provides a lifeline through her example. They come face-to-face with temptation and despair.
